Simon Cowell, the producer behind the Fox reality television competition The X-Factor, denies rumors that Whitney Houston was asked to be a judge for the series. He does admit, however, that although she was never approached, Houston may have been interested and the team behind the show had considered her to replace Nicole Scherzinger.
Whitney Houston was among the A-list stars expected to attend record producer Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy party, the must-be at event for the music industry. Reps for Davis’ record label reported to Just Jared that the party is canceled and it’s “very unfortunate.” Now sources are claiming the party is still set to go, but Davis will not be in attendance, opting instead to stay at his Los Angeles home, surrounded by close friends. Many are expecting the party to turn into a memorial.

Pop legend Whitney Houston has died. Houston’s publicist confirmed on Saturday that the singer was dead, but the cause of Houston’s death was not immediately released nor where she was when she passed away. Sources close to Houston say she was at the Beverly Hilton Hotel when she died.
