I’ve been a bad boy, abandoning Underground Thursday for a couple of weeks. So I’m coming back with a bang, starting with “Major”, a knockout song from soulful indie pop band The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, plus a bunch more of my favorite all-time indie (and not so indie) videos. Also, tomorrow night, Friday, July 29, I will be DJing at the Lush & Lively cocktail hour at the Time Out New York Lounge at New World Stages 340 West 50th Street (between 8th & 9th Ave) from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The music emphasizes horns and strings, so there will be jazz (classic and “nu”), latin, international orchestral and big band pop and – of course – lots and lots of disco. The Cosmo special is only $3 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and there are $5 drink specials until 9:00 PM.
A whole bunch of videos after the jump.

Kylie Minogue stopped by Pier 83 for Josh Wood’s gay pride party on Saturday in New York City. The “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” singer wished those who packed the pier over the Hudson River a happy gay pride and sang along to a few of her hit songs.
We’ve got amateur video of Kylie singing along to “All the Lovers” and “Timebomb” here:
Alec Baldwin appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday night amid a storm of media mayhem that includes an scuffle with a photographer, hitting a reporter with his bike, a homophobic tweet and now dropping his pants on national television.
Baldwin’s week of bad public relations kicked off with accusations that he had attacked a photographer for the New York Daily News. Then on Wednesday, the “30 Rock” actor was accused of hitting an Inside Edition reporter with his bicycle. Later in the day, we fired off some tweets that some are calling homophobic.
Last week 14-year-old radio talk show host. Caiden Cowgers, got tons of free national public relations after he told listeners that homosexuality is perversion and that Barack Obama was turning teens gay. Cowgers also got inducted into the GaySocialites.com Stupid Bitches club with a prediction that he may one day hold the honor near and dear (after he comes out a a gay man).
The bad news for the little conservative cookie is that following all the bad publicity,a few media outlets who had offered the Caiden Cowger Show dropped his program off their line-up due to those aforementioned offensive remarks. YouTube is even rumored to have kicked him to the curb, something Cowgers addresses in this video:
