X-Men Gay Marriage Inspires Real Life Couple!

A Ohio same-sex couple decided to get married at Midtown Comics in downtown New York  Wednesday afternoon after being inspired by the comic book union of X-Men couple Northstar and his long-term partner Kyle in “Astonishing X-Men #51.”  Scott Everhart, 39, and Jason Welker ,33, had always shared a love of comic books and Everhart shared with The Columbus Dispatch the reason they got hitched at a comic book store:

Theatre Review: "Harvey"

There’s always been a soft spot in my heart for Harvey by Mary Chase – I’ve loved the Jimmy Stewart movie from a very young age, and thought the play was delightful since the first time I read it. I’ve spent many years away from the play, neither seeing the film or reading or seeing the play; seeing the Roundabout revival currently on Broadway left me more conscious of the play’s flaws than before, but even more conscious that the play will always transcend those flaws.

YOTEL New York responds to gay bashing, says mistakes were made

Yotel responds to Gay Bashing Allegations

After reporting that a bias attack took place over the weekend at a bar located inside YOTEL New York, GaySocialites.com spoke exclusively with a representative authorized to speak on behalf of the hotel who said his organization is committed to supporting the LGBT community, especially considering that many members of his organization fit into that demographic.

Although Geoffrey Mills, Yotel’s Managing Director, wasn’t present when the incident occurred, he was briefed on the sequence of events by reviewing the surveillance video shot on cameras placed throughout the bar and taking testimony from staff members working that night.  He also said he has been in contact with those involved in the incident to gather their side of the story and regain their loyalty as customers.

Mills, however, admits the incident didn’t exactly unfold without flaws.

“I think mistakes were made by several people,” he said.

Court Rules On HIV-Infected Man's Saliva!

At a medical clinic in the Mohawk Valley village of Ilion, New York in 2006, an HIV-infected man named David Plunkett punched a police officer and bit his finger.  There was question as to whether or not Plunkett’s infected saliva was extremely dangerous for the officer, whose skin was broken by the bite and had to take antiviral for months afterward.  He did not become HIV-infected.  New York’s top court made their decision on Thursday.
