“Here We Go Again” – Vicky Green feat. Kelly Rowland & Trina
Now HERE’S a song with a crazy history! Back in 2005, rapper Trina recorded a track that sampled the 1986 slow-jam “Tender Love” by Force MDs. Originally recorded with Trina featuring the song’s co-writer Teedra Moses on vocals, the bridge and refrain were later re-recorded by Kelly Rowland and released as an R&B single in 2006. Six years later, a majority of the song has been hijacked by pop singer Vicky Green – as an uptempo dance track! This effort includes Rowland’s work and some of Trina’s rapping, adding new sung-through verses by Green. Taking its cue more from the likes of dance babes Cascada or Agnes, the song is a hot Euro mess. And a fun one. We only wish Green didn’t bellow over Rowland’s contributions, which are the best parts of this hybrid ditty.
