Colin Quinn is one of the better comics doing political satire – he communicates highly complicated ideas through the most mundane and absurdly funny examples. I thoroughly enjoyed his Broadway hit Long Story Short, which told the history of the world, brought wittily down to a comprehensible human scale.
The Minnesota State Senate passed a bill to legalize gay marriage on Monday by a vote of 37 to 30. The House of Representatives approved similar legislation on Thursday, and Governor Mark Dayton is expected to sign the bill into law as soon as Tuesday making Minnesota the 12 state to allow same sex unions.
It looks like Minnesota will become the 12th state to allow gay marriage after a bill passed through the state house by an overwhelming vote of 75 to 59 om Thursday.

Governor Jack Markell signed a bill into law on Tuesday making Delaware the 11th state to legalize gay marriage.
After a lengthy debate Tuesday in the Delaware state Senate and the surprise votes of two lawmakers, the bill passed. by a vote of 12-9. Governor Markell signed the legislation into law on the main stairs in the lobby of Legislative Hall.

It looks like marriage equality is coming to Delaware. State Senator Brian Bushweller released a statement to supporters saying he plans to vote for legislation that could legalize gay marriage in his state, and that will likely give the bill enough votes to pass.
