I’m black and I’m gay.” That’s how Collins started an essay set to come up in the upcoming issue of Sports Illustrator.  Now, he’s being called a pioneer by everyone from fellow NBA players to Christine Quinn who is likely to become New York City’s first openly gay Mayor this fall.

Senator Tim Johnson leaves Final Four, supports gay marriage

Senator Tim Johnson of South Dakota says he now supports gay marriage.  He now leaves the “Final Four” Democrats in the United States Senate who actively oppose gay marriage.  That leaves three Senate Democrats who oppose gay marriage—Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Mark Pryor of Arkansas, and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana.
