Dancing with the Stars celebrates 10 years of providing viewers with every dance from rumba to cha cha and contemporary to the fox trot. On Good Morning America, the cast for the ABC reality tv smash was announced. Five-time champion Derek Hough surprised everyone by returning after saying he would not be competing due to an engagement at Radio City Music Hall. Last season’s winner Witney Carson’s partner was not revealed but host Tom Bergeron gave a hint about a rose, which may give validation to the rumors that The Bachelor’s Chris Soules will be on the show. It will be announced closer to the show’s March 16 premiere date.
Season 20 also features the youngest contestant, Willow Shields, at age 14 and openly gay football player Michael Sam. America will also see if the thigh master worked for Suzanne Somers all those years ago.

On the evening of Saturday, February 11, 2012, I received a text from my boss at GaySocialites.com that the world had lost an icon. Whitney Elizabeth Houston was found submerged in her bath tub and later pronounced dead at 3:55 pm at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, while legendary record producer and founder of Houston Clive Davis was having his pre-Grammy party downstairs. I was totally in shock. How could we have lost such an amazing performer with an angelic voice and extreme talent? I grew up on Whitney Houston and would play her albums non-stop and had seen all her films. This really hit me hard.
Whitney Houston has always been a favorite of mine. Her powerful voice just goes deep down into my soul and stays around with every run, the bravado just floating about my body.
