The recent events at Yotel have left many in New York’s LGBT community disturbed. Not only did the incident occur during Pride Month, but also a week before NYC’s own Pride Week commences. Enter the Anti-Violence Project (AVP), an important non-profit organization that empowers the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and HIV-affected communities and their allies to end all forms of violence through organizing and education, and supports survivors through counseling and advocacy. And AVP plans to do just that this evening.
If it’s at all possible, NYC Pride may just have just gotten that much gayer. Happier, of course, thanks in part to the combined hotelier minds of Brian Gorman and Paul Stallings who are bringing New York its first Pride Pop-Up hotel from June 18th to 24th as Lords New York at Hotel on Rivington.

After reporting that a bias attack took place over the weekend at a bar located inside YOTEL New York, GaySocialites.com spoke exclusively with a representative authorized to speak on behalf of the hotel who said his organization is committed to supporting the LGBT community, especially considering that many members of his organization fit into that demographic.
Although Geoffrey Mills, Yotel’s Managing Director, wasn’t present when the incident occurred, he was briefed on the sequence of events by reviewing the surveillance video shot on cameras placed throughout the bar and taking testimony from staff members working that night. He also said he has been in contact with those involved in the incident to gather their side of the story and regain their loyalty as customers.
Mills, however, admits the incident didn’t exactly unfold without flaws.
“I think mistakes were made by several people,” he said.
A lot of people are often impressed by how I network. While I won’t brag about much, I will allow myself some credit on my art of bringing people together. Some of my biggest accomplishments in the past few years have shocked even me both as they were happening, and in hindsight.
I’ve brought international pop stars to my events, world-renown porn stars to my parties. I’ve been instrumental in some pretty big things in basically every industry.
And now, I’m going to teach you how to do it, too. Why? Because the world gets better with networking, and I’m not convinced that people who teach others how to network are teaching them the right things.
