As we first reported here on Thursday at GaySocialites.com, disco queen and gay icon Donna Summer passed away this week at the age of 63.
But how much do you really know about Donna. Sure we’ve all heard of “Last Dance” and know that she released a ton of albums.
But here are some fact you may not know about Summer:

So remarkably did Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder capture the ecstasy, fantasy and grit of the dance floor, they both spent many years trying to distance themselves from their extraordinary achievement. They didn’t always want to be known as “dance artists.” Summer didn’t want to “just” be the disco diva that we adored, even when for a time she wasn’t exactly thrilled to be our late night patron saint.
