Getting Fresh with Hedda Lettuce: Web of deceit

Hello gentle Americans. On the last night of my performance of The Divine Sister, in Hudson New York, I was slipping on my hose before the evening show. (For those who are severely unaware, for the past five weeks I was starring in Charles Busch’s most recent play about nuns. I aptly was playing Mother Superior.) After which I put on my habit, preceded by my wimple, then shoes. As I was making some final adjustments I felt something bite me from under my hose. But I did not have a chance to drop trough and see what was going on under my black vestiges because in a matter of moments I would be on stage. All I can say is that it hurt like a bitch. Oh, that was not very nun-ly of me. It hurt to high heaven.
