Gay teen suing Indiana School System after being bullied leads to expulsion

Gay Teen Sues Indiana School System Over BullyingAn openly gay Indiana high school student is suing the school district after he was expelled from school earlier this year for carrying a stun gun to school to defend himself against bullies.

Darnell “Dynasty” Young and his mother, Chelisa Grimes, filed a lawsuit against Indianapolis Public Schools, seeking unspecified damages that says the 17 year old young man was the victim of “relentless, severe harassment” that the staff at Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis did nothing about.

Young was evidently expelled for firing off a stun gun on school grounds.  In May, GaySocialites.com  reported that Dynasty had taken the stun gun to school but claimed he “didn’t use it on nobody.” He said his mother gave it to him, and he carried it around for weeks before he needed to use it.  He said that  six students surrounded him, called him names, cursed and threatened to beat him up.   That’s what he pulled the stun gun from his bag and fired it into the air causing his attackers to run.

Young was expelled by the arbitrator overseeing his hearing since he fired a stun gun on school grounds.  He was original kicked out of school until January 2013. The district later reduced the penalty so Dynasty could start the fall semester, but said he would have to go to an alternative school.

Politiqueer: Paul Ryan for V.P., the gay response [video]

Mitt Romney names Ryan veep pick

Mitt Romney announced on Saturday that ultra conservative Paul Ryan will join the GOP ticket as his pick to be Vice President of the United States should he beat Barack Obama in November.

To say that Representative Ryan (R-WI) is not gay friendly doesn’t even start to describe his position on LGBT issues.

HRC President Chad Griffin explains, “Ryan’s record of voting against fairness, dignity and equality is out of touch with the majority of Americans and a fast growing majority of Republicans.”

The good news is that Ryan isn’t hugely into talking about social issues.  Many seem to believe he won’t even talk about the gays unless someone brings it up.  The thing is… the gays are already front-and-center.

I’m a true believer that you shouldn’t believe everything you read, so this brilliantly edited video gives you the chance to hear it comes straight from Romney’s new running mate’s lips:

I miss Sarah Palin.  Rep. Ryan makes her look like a raging liberal!

Gay marriage supporters flood Chick-fil-A's with 'kiss-ins'

chik fil a kissing protest at gaysocialites

Gay marriage supporters held “kiss-ins” at Chik-fil-A restaurants from coast-to-coast sending out a message to the company’s CEO Dan Cathy who recently spoke out against same sex unions.

Same Sex Kiss Day is in response to Cathy’s comments made last month in which he said  he supported “the biblical definition of the family unit.”

This made t he roughly 1,600 Chik-fil-A restaurants battle grounds for the gay marriage debate.

The Chik-fil-A kiss-in idea came from Carly McGehee, a Dallas political activist.  While it is impossible to know how many people puckered up for gay marriage outside a Chik-fil-A on Friday. Carly said more than 15,000 people said they planned to participate via an event page she posted on Facebook.

Daily Dapper: Chic-Fil-A Chokes Its Own Chicken With Bad PR

If you live in a bath house and don’t travel out too often, you may not realize we are going head on into upcoming elections which means we are already seeing the political shit show that is our federal government and candidates pitting groups against each other to get votes. The gays seem to be the number one (if not, we’re definitely high up there) foe to America these days along with President Obama’s health care law according to the right wing nut job Republicans and Bible thumping lunatics. All of the other bullshit aside, one case in particular is pretty hilarious when it comes to a group putting itself in a corner with little friends to aid it.
