The days of gay clubs clustering into one or two New York City neighborhoods are over. Even my old stomping grounds over in Bushwick, that’s in Brooklyn, evidently has a booming nightlife scene for the gay party goers.
On Valentine’s Day, three of the biggest names in New York nightlife are coming together to launch a new weekly party called “Boys Night Out” at the Ritz.
The new Bronx LGBTQ Center is working hard to re-build it’s organization and to do so, they’re throwing a Valentine’s Vamp gala fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, February 9th from 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm at club Rebel NYC (251 West 30th Street, Manhattan).
“Valentine’s Day is a celebration of unconditional love, making it very appropriate to also honor the LGBTQ community, as well as the caring and nurturing that can be found there. A Center that provides support and a safe space is so much-needed in every borough of our Metropolitan area. LGBTQ culture and community is found way beyond the boundaries of Manhattan,” said Lady Clover Honey, one of the event’s hostesses.
I’d like to personally invite you to my birthday celebration on Tuesday night at Splash in NYC. Steve Sidewalk and Dougie Meyer have put together quite the soiree including a Mariah Carey vs. Nicki Minaj drag off (that I will guest referee), a hot body contest, GaySocialites.com’s own Joshua Sean as a special guest dancer and a performance by Kelsey Chaos (who is also celebrating her birthday too!)

CNN filed this report about the chaos that ensues near the Brazilian nightclub where the tragedy occurred:
