President Obama says Americans have become more accepting of gays, poll shows the country has a lomg way to go [VIDEO]

In a survey released by Pew Research Center this week, nine out of 10 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender adults say society has become more accepting of them and that they expect it to become more so in the years ahead.  President Barack Obama spoke to a group of gay rights advocates during a speech marking LGBT pride that the United States needs to become more accepting.

The concert celebration of all things Judy Garland will have its third annual performance on Monday, June 17 to raise money for the Ali Forney Center, the nation’s largest organization dedicated to homeless LGBT youth. The all-star lineup this year includes Martha Wash, Carolee Carmello, Madeleine Peyroux, Justin Vivian Bond, Lea DeLaria, Jaime Cepero, Karen Mason, Telly Leung, Christiane Noll, Scott Matthew, Maude Maggart, Natalie Joy Johnson, Tituss Burgess, Molly Pope and Danielle Grabianowski.

Assembly Speaker Perez California National Guard LA Gay Pride

The California National Guard made history on Sunday by joining Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez, the first openly gay person elected to lead a state house, in the Los Angeles Gay Pride Parade.

Adjutant General Major General David S. Baldwin and several guardsmen brought along two military vehicles, including a National Guard Humvee, and a banner that read “The California National Guard-Yes! We Really do Want You!”
