News anchor's powerful on-air response to bullying [video]

Jennifer Livingston, a news anchor on Lacrosse, Wisconsin’s CBS WKBT, took a moment out of the news today to address a recent email she received from a viewer. The email criticized Livingston for her weight and accused her of being a bad example for young people who may be overweight.

Livingston replies, and delivers a beautiful speech about the effects of bullying. “To all of the children out there who feel lost, who are struggling with your weight, with the color of your skin, your sexual preference, your disability, even the acne on your face, listen to me right now: do not let your self-worth be defined by bullies,” she concludes. “The cruel words of one are nothing compared to the shouts of many.”

And many will be shouting for her after this:
