When Lindsay Lohan was arrested in Manhattan on Wednesday, cops say there were no drugs or alcohol involved. The star was evidently booked for a hit-in-run after she plowed down a chef in an alley behind the Maritime Hotel.
However, if you ask the guy that Lindsay hit, you’ll hear a different story.
Cops say Lohan tagged Jose Rodriguez with the Porsche Cayenne SUV she was driving and didn’t stop until she reached the nearby Dream Hotel where she was staying. They arrested her at 2:30 a.m., but she was released without serving any time.
Rodriguez, however, said the “Mean Girls” star appeared to be under the influence of something.
“She was slurring,” Rodriguez told the New York Daily News. “She smelled like alcohol real bad.”
He said he asked, “Why did you do that?”. To which he said Lohan replied, “You have to get out of the way.” “She told me I have to move,” he added.
“They acted like I was nothing,” Rodriguez continued. “That no one could touch her, because she was rich and powerful.”
In a statement Lohan’s spokesman, Steve Honig, called the incident “much ado about nothing.”
“We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue,” he said.
This, of course, isn’t Lohan’s first traffic violation.
