What would happen if Syler from Heroes and Jesse St. James from Glee decided to date? According to ABC News, Zachary Quinto and Jonathan Groff are officially a couple. Quinto confirmed the news to Out magazine that he is in a relationship with the Broadway and TV star. For months, both were spotted around Los Angeles together and the tabloid rumors started to fly.
Quinto, 35, did not spill too many details to Out about his pairing with Groff, 27, only to say that he is “incredibly happy and incredibly lucky.” He had a lot of struggles finding the right partner and shared the following about his past dating experiences:
“I found myself in a pattern of being attracted to people who were somehow unavailable, and what I realized was that I was protecting myself because I equated the idea of connection and love with trauma and death. I had to do a lot of work on the couch to really get to a place where I was able to show up to a relationship with someone who was actually capable of being in one — and that took a lot of trial and error.”
Last October, Quinto came out in the pages of New York magazine with starting a sentence “As a gay man…” He did it when he felt the time was right and did not even tell his publicist:
“I thought about it as coming out from behind the wall. Walls now are only as high or as thick or as strong as we allow them to be.”
The interview also shares his support for President Obama and his wish to one day have kids of his own.
