2012 MTV Video Music Award Winners

The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards were held Thursday, September 6 in Los Angeles and was hosted by comedian Kevin Hart.  British boy band One Direction took home the most moon men of the night: a total of three including Best New Artist and Most Shareworthy Video, which was voted on by the fans.  The evening also showcased performers who have been VMA staples such as Rihanna, P!nk, and Alicia Keys.  It was also the return of Green Day, who allowed their fans to storm the stage.  Rihanna, who opened up the show, won Video of the Year for “We Found Love.”  The video features Calvin Harris, who was the resident DJ and won Best Electronic Dance music video.  Check out a complete list of winners below.
