Nick Jonas and Pharell Williams said to be joining Mariah Carey on Idol

American Idol may have finished off their judges table as they are evidently replacing the entire panel for the first time since the show debuted over 10 years ago.  Mariah Carey, who confirmed as a judge last week, is said to likely be joined by Nick Jonas and Pharell Williams.

It hasn’t been an easy search for Idol producers and Fox Entertainment.  It seems like those who they want to judge the singing competition along side Mariah aren’t interested, and those who are volunteering to take one of the judge’s seats aren’t appealing to them.

Rumor has it, prior to picking Nick and Pharrell, Fox offered the American Idol judging gig to Toby Keith who declined.  Katy Perry and Toni Braxton were also evidently among those who passed on the offer.  Meanwhile, former Idol contenders Kimberly Locke and Adam Lambert threw their names into the hat as did “Anger Management” star Charlie Sheen.  However, it seems that the powers that be have their sights set on Jonas and WIlliams.

As we told you on this week’s episode of GaySocialites.com’s Popularity Contest, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler left their Idol posts.  Randy Jackson is evidently moving into a new role with the show when it returns for the 12th season.
