Manhunt Offers Tom Cruise A Lifetime Membership!

Gay rumors have always swirled around Tom Cruise for years.  The 50-year-old Rock of Ages star’s impending divorce to Katie Holmes has only fueled the fire of the allegations of Cruise’s sexuality and now gay dating/social networking/hookup site Manhunt is offering the actor an unlimited lifetime membership.  The invitation letter includes witty jabs at Mission: Impossible and  Jerry Mcguire’s famous line “You had me at hello.”  Here is the note in its entirety, along with the picture Manhunt posted on their site:

“Dear Tom, sad to hear about the split.  Now that the cat’s (or Kat’s) out of the bag and you’ve realized that traditional marriage is a mission impossible, maybe it’s time to explore your options?

We’d love to have you.  Contact us at time2getmycruiseon@manhunt.net for a lifetime Unlimited Membership.

You’ve always had us at “hello.”

Sincerely,

Manhunt”

Recently Cruise addressed the gay rumors in the June issue of Playboy magazine:

“I hear it, I read it, I get it.  But life is not a matter of trying to prove anything to anybody. Does refuting things help? Not really. There comes a point when you just have to go, ‘You know what? Here’s how I’ve lived my life: I’ve never been late to a set. I make films I believe in. I feel privileged to be able to do what I love.’ You just have to keep going and remember that.’’

Salon’s Greg Olear feels it’s time for Cruise to step it up like silver fox CNN/talk show personality Anderson Cooper:
“Tom Cruise needs to take a page from the Anderson Cooper playbook. He needs to come out, he needs to come out big-time, and when he gets hitched again, he should marry a guy.”
But Cruise has never acknowledged in a public interview he is gay in the first place and Olear is clear about that:
“There has been no public evidence at all, none, to support the [gay] rumors.  It’s not like this sort of disclosure is unprecedented. Cary Grant confessed to bisexuality when he was an old man; so did Richard Burton. Why not Tom Cruise?”
What do you think about this all.  Is outing Cruise right or should it be his time to tell the world he is gay (if he even is.)  Let us know in the comments section and keep it locked to gaysocialites.com for everything Tom and Katie as this divorce progresses.
