Glitter-Bombed! [video]

A crowd of about 50 or so turned up at the General Mills headquarters in Golden Valley, Minnesota last week to protest the company’s opposition of a new amendment proposing a same-sex marriage ban.  The protesters, who were “peacefully demonstrating” according to the YouTube video description, were met by a group of activists.. armed with glitter.

Andrew Parrish, a spokesman for Minnesota for Marriage, an anti-gay group, caught one kid “assaulting” the group, with his glitter. He claims the glitterized victims range in age from “as young as three and some of the seniors as old as 85.”

The kid caught on the video seems to peacefully demonstrating as well, saying he is only “putting it in the wind” and “it’s the wind’s fault.”

“Shame on you for assaulting my rights,” the young activist yells back at the protesters.

Yes, shame on those protesters–glitter only helps to make the world a much more colorful place.
