Organizers estimate over two million people lined Fifth Avenue in Manhattan as New York City celebrated gay pride on Sunday.
The Heritage of Pride March is probably one of the biggest pride parades in the world and is likely the largest of several annual parades that cut through the city each year.
Kiehls President Chris Salgado (pictured here) was one of the grand marshals leading the celebration from Midtown all the way to where it all began on Christopher Street.
UPDATE: Another one of this year’s grand marshals was singer Cyndi Lauper. After the journey down Fifth Avenue, we’re told Lauper was bookd to perform at the annual pier party.
New York City’s gay pride parade offers a variety of participants ranging from marchers to big elaborate floats. Sunday’s rundown of pride events also included a loft party with Hades Music, GaySocialites.com and Mob Wives’ Big Ang as well as Pride Fest on Christopher Street and a dance party on the Pier.
