If it’s at all possible, NYC Pride may just have just gotten that much gayer. Happier, of course, thanks in part to the combined hotelier minds of Brian Gorman and Paul Stallings who are bringing New York its first Pride Pop-Up hotel from June 18th to 24th as Lords New York at Hotel on Rivington.
The infamous Lords South Beach is expanding into our area and are welcoming guests at this unique space which features many items also used in South Beach. I drool with campy kitsch when I think of each room containing an artful rendition of Elizabeth Taylor adorning the walls. To boot, each guest will receive a Lords gift bag (I’m a sucker for these) which will include items from Perrier, Babeland, and Out Magazine.
Also receiving a run-down of various Lords events for Pride week, you will be handed an itinerary of what there is to do just in case you’re an out-of-towner. In addition to all this glitz and gay glam. guests are welcomed to participate in the “Room That Matter” program which gives you the option to donate a portion of your room proceeds to LGBT charities ranging from Aqua Foundation, The Point Foundation, lambda Legal and many others.
