Chris Matthews, the host of Hardball on MSNBC says he doesn’t understand how gay men and women can work for Republican candidates while hiding who they are and getting those who refuse to accept them as who are are elected to office.
In the video below, Matthew also honors Barack Obama for being the first sitting President to support gay marriage. In addition, he creates the vision of a “canyon” between the two candidates as he points out their vast differences, especially when it comes to equality for the LGBT community.
Take a look:
Obama, of course, announced on Wednesday that he now support the right for gay couples to get married the same way as straight couples do. Romney reinforced his opinion that gay couples show not be treated equally to straight couples. On Sunday, Vice President Joe Biden announced his support for marriage equality during an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press”.
