Scott Thorson was flamboyant pianist/performer Liberace’s lover for several years and documented his time with him in the 1988 tell-all book “Behind The Candelabra: My Life With Liberace.” Now Thorson is revealing Liberace was not the only song bird he flocked to.
In an exclusive Entertainment Tonight interview, he reveals he had an affair with the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, just before MJ’s Thriller years. Thorson claims that he and Jackson had “a relationship that…would cross the boundaries.” When asked by ET’s Christina McLarty if the relationship was ever sexual Thorton did not feel “comfortable” speaking about it:
“We were both young, we both liked each other, we had a lot of fun. We went all over Europe together. Michael was my best friend, I was his best friend.”
Thorson’s autobiography included a hefty chunk dedicated to details about Jackson and his intimate friendship. “Behind The Candelabra” will is being made into a major motion picture staring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon. There is no word if anyone is going to be cast as Jackson.
The interview also has Thorson speaking about how his own drug addiction destroyed his five-year relationship with Liberace, who died of AIDS at age 67 in 1987.
