The Broadway composer of hit smashes like “Wicked” and “Godspell”, Stephen Schwartz, has written a beautiful song of hope and courage for the It Gets Better project called ‘Testimony’.  Performed by the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, Schwartz told the Huffington Post he was inspired by the campaign started by Dan Savage aimed at helping LGBT youth:

“”It’s very, very necessary, and one of those simple but incredibly effective ideas just waiting for somebody to have it.  And, of course, Dan would be the one to have it!”

Many are calling the number the It Gets Better anthem.  The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus first performed ‘Testimony’ during a concert of Schwartz’s work entitled “Enchantingly Wicked” at San Francisco’s Davies Symphony Hall on March 20-21.  There have been already 22,000 hits of the video on Youtube.
