Two men kiss, thrown out of Rick Santorum rally [video]

Two men were ejected from Rick Santorum’s rally Friday night in Arlington Heights, Illinois after locking lips.

The Presidential candidate was 15 minutes into his speech in the Grace Gym of the Christian Liberty Academy when two men shouted from the bleachers, “Mic check! Mr. Santorum! Mr. Santorm!” Timothy Tross and Ben Clifford then began to kiss, prompting others to begin booing. The booing quickly erupted into a “U-S-A!” chant while the men were escorted from the gym.

It’s unclear whether the kiss was real or symbolic, or whether the two men are gay or straight. “I don’t think the message should be about what my sexuality is,” Tross told the Palatine Patch. “It’s the message that he’s saying about sexuality that matters.”

The disruption begins at the 3:38 mark in the video below:

The rally was already being protested, with about 50 opponents holding signs that read, “LGBT No H8″ and “If I incorporate myself, would you treat me like a person?” The protest was planned by LGBT activist Matt Muchowski, who told reporters “it is important to counter Santorum’s anti-gay hate.”
