While many voters thought a clear front-runner would emerge from the pack of GOP hopefuls on Super Tuesday as the party’s nominee. Although Mitt Romney hasn’t secured enough delegates from the primaries held so far, the general consensus seems to be that he will ultimately become the Republican nominee.
On Tuesday, the former Massachusetts governor congratulated his opponents for their hard work suggesting that the race was over for each of them. To Rick Santourum, Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich; Romney said, “thanks you guys, nice races.”

When it was all said and done, Newt Gingrich won his home state of Georgia. Santorum pulled out wins in Tennessee, Oklahoma and North Dakota. Alaska, Idaho, Massachusetts, North Dakota and Ohio.

All four candidates seemed optimistic about their chances and pledged to continue campaigning tomorrow and beyond.
