GaySocialites.com has learned that Whitney Houston was found in the bathtub of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday. Although an autopsy was performed on Sunday, Houston’s cause of death has not yet been determined.
Since Whitney was found dead in the bathtub, drowning could be an option. TMZ is even reporting that Houston’s body was found underwater making the possibility of drowing an option. Investigators say they will also be performing toxicology results on the infamous entertainer who had publicly struggled with drugs and alcohol. Natural causes, the Los Angeles Times reports, are also being considered.
Evidently, the Beverly Hills Fire Department paramedics were already in the area and arrived quickly where they performed CPR for about 20 minutes before declaring Houston dead.
Dateline NBC reported on Sunday on night that Houston’s body remained in the hotel room where she was found dead for about nine hours before it was removed. That’s probably because in the same hotel where that legend was lost, stars gathered in the lobby for a pre-Emmy party hosted by Clive Davis. That party was the reason Whitney was spending the weekend in Los Angeles.
Davis quickly announced that the party would become a tribute to Houston, and that he would not be attending.
The full investigation into Houston’s death will not be concluded until toxicology reports are complete, and that could take several weeks.
