New Editor-in-Chief takes the lead at as site celebrates sixth anniversary

NEW YORK – is now back online following a brief outage to update crutal infrastructure as the website celebrates its six year online.   In addition to technological improvements, the site is also under the leadership of a new Editor-in-Chief. founding editor and owner, Charles Winters, says he has passed the torch to Thomas Bistritz (pictured here) who started as the new Editor in Chief this week.

Bistritz has previously worked as a columnist at and served as chairperson of the Editorial Advisory Board over the past year.  He is also a published author and hosts nightlife events under the persona, Demanda Dahling.  He will become the second person to hold the Editor-in-Chief position replacing Winters, who founded the site in 2005.

Over the summer, GaySocialites acquired the Australian based website and launched a third site called which led to the creation of an new parent company called Charles Winters Information Management.   From here, Winters moves into the role as President of that organization with plans to launch two additional sites by the end of the year. is my pride and joy, so we put a lot of effort into our search,” Winters says.

After receiving dozens of applicants, he says Bistritz was the clear choice.

“I thought picking my own replacement would be difficult, but I never expected to get an applicant like Thomas,” Winters explains.

After a brief outage, is in the process of introducing new technology and testing a variety of new features added this fall.
